Description
In this piece, Ndunde Bulimo revisits the playground with “Bladdaa”, a game of skill, bicycle tubes, and rising levels. Beyond the jump, Bulimo captures the subtle social dynamics of Kenyan childhood, where a simple game of agility became a stage for community, laughter, and the beginning of self-consciousness. A master of the woodcut, Bulimo uses vibrant layers to keep these cultural stories alive.
Accompanying each print is a unique butterfly magnet, born from a transformative recycling initiative in Mathare. These pieces are meticulously crafted by a local community group that breathes new life into discarded plastic. Because of the nature of recycled materials, every magnet features a unique, marbled color palette, ensuring your piece is as individual as the hands that made it.
