Art Meets Nature
Building the Bridge for Sustainable Art
Our story begins with a gap: visionary creators without a market, and conscious buyers without a source. We exist to connect them.
Crafting Stories Through Art
A Journey of Creativity and Impact
Since our founding, we have facilitated one powerful connection: linking mission-driven creators with buyers seeking authentic art and innovative sustainable solutions. Our timeline charts this expanded mission, from gallery collections to custom commissions. Each milestone marks a step toward a world where beauty, purpose, and utility are woven into the same fabric.
2024: Seeing the Gap, Building the Bridge: Our Mathare Origin Story.
Our foundational case study in Mathare exposed the critical gap: sustainable artists were creating, but buyers couldn't find them. This insight directly inspired our first digital platform, built specifically to be the bridge that connects this hidden talent with a global market.
2024 - Custom Commission Services
With the critical gap identified, we built and launched our digital marketplace. This move not only provided access but also enabled a new service: bespoke commissions that turn client concepts into curated, sustainable art.
2025: UNEP Recognition: Validating Our Model with Data
Our foundational work in Mathare took center stage at the UNEP Hackathon. The data-driven solution we presented earned 2nd place, validating our core belief: that verifying tangible impact is the key to unlocking growth for sustainable creators.
2025: Launching with Dual Insight
Artist feedback revealed 85% struggled with market access, while buyer research showed demand was hindered by limited availability. We addressed both needs by launching a full marketplace: an e-commerce store for curated collections and a commission service for custom work.
Meet Our Artists
The Visionaries Behind the Work
Our collective is united by a singular passion: transforming sustainable vision into profound art. Each artist brings a unique voice, together shaping a mission where creativity and conscious creation are inseparable.
Oiro Meshack
A central figure in Kenya’s contemporary art scene, Meshack Oiro (b. 1981, Nairobi) is celebrated for his innovative, sustainable sculptural practice. He transforms discarded metal into powerful kinetic narratives, a fearless exploration of mixed media that has defined the “biker movement” in Kenyan art. Through what he calls “Piki Piki magic,” Oiro’s 2D and 3D sculptures freeze moments of action, capturing the raw energy of human and animal behavior. Each piece, from garden monuments to indoor installations, stands as a testament to sustainable creation, giving new life to forgotten materials while adding profound character to any space.
Dennis Muraguri
Dennis Muraguri (b. 1980, Naivasha) is a celebrated Nairobi-based multimedia artist renowned for his vibrant explorations of urban life. A graduate of Buru Buru Institute and a long-time resident of Kuona Trust, Muraguri transforms recycled wood and metal into compelling sculptures that critique industrialization. His iconic, matatu-inspired work has cemented his status as one of Kenya’s foremost artists, turning reclaimed materials into profound cultural commentary.
Ndunde Bulimo
Renowned for her skillful and evocative woodcut prints, Ndunde Bulimo is a standout talent in Kenya’s sustainable art community. Her work, thoughtfully layered and rich with color, transforms locally sourced MDF and paper into profound visual conversations. With a refined technique and a clear, impactful voice, she creates art that doesn’t just capture attention, but holds it, proving that great talent is both sustainable and deeply communicative.
The Bridge is Open
Our story is a framework, not an archive. The bridge we built now supports three clear pathways:
"Art should inspire and ignite change in the world."
