Ndunde Bulimo
Ndunde Bulimo
Ndunde Bulimo is a rising Kenyan artist whose evocative woodcut prints are created through a low-waste, hand-carved process using Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF), a compressed wood material made from recycled wood fibers.
Her work transforms these everyday materials into bold, layered compositions that spark conversation and invite new ways of thinking.
Chubby Babe
She is a mountain of soft power, rooted in a landscape that values substance over shadow. Her body is a living archive of a life well-fed and a spirit that works the earth without fatigue, shattering the hollow myth that size equals stillness. This is a celebration of the ‘thick’ of life—a wide, gorgeous presence that refuses to be edited or excused.

A Toad and Mushrooms
In this surreal composition, the humble toad is elevated to a figure of monumental poise, his hand-carved attire echoing the intricate gills and organic symmetry of the mushrooms that shield him. It is a profound exploration of ‘human’ presence within the landscape, a reminder that grace and stature are found when we align our own pace with the slow, persistent growth of the earth. To look upon him is to witness a symbiotic elegance, where the boundary between the inhabitant and the habitat beautifully dissolves.

Kufi
Presented in a striking profile that evokes the timelessness of ancient coinage, this portrait elevates the Kufi hat from a simple garment to a storied emblem of heritage and identity. The intricate, hand-carved textures of his attire and crown serve as a visual dialogue between traditional craftsmanship and the modern man’s bold, individual style. Through this focused gaze and gilded accent, the piece captures a moment of quiet sovereignty, inviting the viewer to honor the deep-rooted dignity that shapes his presence.
